I am beyond excited. This weekend I am off to the 2017 Eat and Drink Christmas Festival which is a big part of the Ideal Home Show at Christmas event at London's Olympia. Deck the Halls - the festive season begins here for me!
Even better is that I am making it part of a girly day out with my biggest daughter and some lovely mates. We plan to shop, eat, drink coffee, eat, shop and maybe eat some more. Stretchy trousers are a must at this amazing festival which showcases the best of food from street food to traditional Christmas fare.
As massive fans of cocktails we are also hoping to pick up some mixology tips too and maybe stick the drinks cupboard - I bought an amazing swirly "fire" wine for a friend last time I visited which proved to be a real show stopper. It was almost a shame to drink it!
I'm hoping to add to my growing list of famous chefs I have met as there are a number of demos throughout the day with some very familiar faces imparting top tips and leading exciting demonstrations.
I was amused at first to see that the East And Drink Christmas Festival was being sponsored by DenTek who make innovative dental care products. However, it's very hard to enjoy good food without good teeth and Dentek's experts will be on hand at the show to offer product samples and hosting lots of festive fun and giveaways.
I will be popping along with my daughter and friends to meet the lovely folk on the Dentek stand - one thing I have learned is that you need to be kind to your teeth as food, age, hormones and accidents can leave you with pain and a less than perfect smile.
Tickets are still available for the Eat and Drink Christmas Festival 2017 and the admission price also admits you to the Ideal Home Show at Christmas. Bargain! The show runs until Sunday 26th.
