We have many happy memories of visits to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, and I was sad to hear this week that because they've had to close because of *that* virus they are struggling to feed and care for their beautiful animals.
The usual money coming in through ticket sales and on site purchases have dramatically decreased and of course no-one is able to visit in person. The money would go directly towards the upkeep of the animals -food, vet bills, healthcare, enrichment, habitat facilities, cleaning- and would cost roughly £3,000 a day.
They've set up an emergency fund which anyone can contribute to - click the link if you'd like to help.
