It took me decades to find a fantastic family friendly festival fairly close to home and after two years of Covid disruption when it couldn't go ahead I've just discovered that the 2022 event will be the very last one ever. I am GUTTED!
With great line-ups, gorgeous food, family entertainment and clean toilets and showers with a busy but not overcrowded campsite Cornbury Music Festival at The Great Tew Park in the Cotswolds proved to be a highlight of our year. We've seen some amazing musicians including UB40, Keane, The Specials, The Beach Boys, Steeleye Span, Alanis Morissette, Pixie Lott.... the list is endless. You can read the review I wrote about the first time we went for more details about the vibe of the festival.
This year's event proves to be just as exciting with stars including Brian Adams, James Blunt, Ronan Keating, Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Mica Paris, The Waterboys and The Darkness bringing an eclectic mix of music to this beautiful part of England between 8-10th July 2022.
Add in supervised activities, workshops and shows for children (including teens) and you have a festival which really is fabulous for the whole family.
There are a variety of camping options and some gorgeous hotels, cottages and B& B's nearby if even glamping is too basic. Bear in mind thought that onsite campers get extra entertainment with previous attractions including top comedians, ceilidhs and gigs.
The Festival is extra fun if you go with friends but arrive as early as possible if you want to camp together. Day tickets are also available of course but I really feel to get the best out of a festival it's ideal to stay on site.
I anticipate since this is a much loved festival AND the final hurrah that tickets will go fast so BOOK NOW to guarantee a wonderful long weekend.
PSSSST! Tomorrow I will be giving my readers the chance to win a FREE family family weekend comping and parking ticket to the Great Estate Festival in Cornwall which is over Jubilee weekend - the first weekend in June.
