There's More to Tea than English Breakfast.

I'm a recent convert to tea. Well, I've enjoyed a cup of what Brits call "builder's tea" for decades but it's only in recent years I've learned how tea can help mood and health and of course, taste good too!

My kitchen now is full of boxes and jars of varying teas from fun blends evoking the scent of Christmas to blends created by my qualified homeopath friend for heart health and allergies.

if you don't have a knowledgeable friend or in fact any clue what the difference is between green, black or oolong tea I have some good news for you.

If you head to the iteaworld website you will be able to learn all about the flavour, benefits and caffeine levels of a huge variety of teas. Not only that you can even see how and where the tea was grown - location affects the taste and behaviour of a tea apparently. Who knew?

The level of detail available about teas from iteaworld is staggering. Let's say you want to buy tea which is particularly beneficial for women's health. The site will suggest Fenghuang Dancong Oolong Tea (Mi Lan Xiang) then you can read all about it. It's an aromatic tea grown from teas which are over 100 years old around Wudon Village, Guangdong. You even learn the altitude and latitude and longitude of the plantation.

The detailed description offers the information that this tea is mellow and thick, low astringency with a deep and long lasting sweetness. Known as "the perfume of tea" Fenghuang Dancing Oolong tea is packaged ecologically and you will find simple to follow instructions on how to brew it. There are even customer reviews so you can see what other tea lovers think of it.

But what if you don't know whether you will like a tea variety? Luckily iteaworld offers tea collections curated to offer a good range of tea varieties like the Classic Tea Selection box so you can sample and choose your favourites. Or maybe send a set to a friend - you can choose the classic (mixed) set, green, black or Oolong selections containing between 4-8 loose tea samples, depending on the variety chosen.

classic tea selection from iteaworld

I shared the classic selection sent to me (GIFTED) by iteaworld with my two most ardent tea loving children aged 17 and 22. We even have a kettle which you can set to a specific temperature to ensure the best results. Even what you drink out of can affect your tea-drinking experience. We prefer glass or bone china for best results.

With the temperature dropping as health issues possibly increasing, now seems like a good day to ditch the  tea with milk and two sugars and try something authentic and beneficial instead.

Disclaimer: I received a selection of teas to try for the purpose of this honest review.
